When and where
- In person: 6 to 8 November in Sendai (plus parts of the Tohoku region) and Mexico City.
- Global: Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November, 10am to 6pm local time.
Is Gigantamax Duraludon better than Eternatus?
Not quite. G-Max Depletion matches Eternatus’s Dynamax Cannon at levels 1 to 3 (350, 400 and 450), but Eternatus has a level 4 with its Adventure Effect at 550. Eternatus also has more attack (278 vs 239), so it hits about 16% harder at the same Max Move level. Where Duraludon wins is typing: Steel and Dragon gives it 10 resistances.
Matt's take: a maxed Eternatus is still your best Dragon option, but Gigantamax Duraludon is far easier to get and build, and a great Dragon pick for everyone else.
Raids and backgrounds
- In person: Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta, the #1 and #2 Steel attackers.
- Global: Zekrom and White Kyurem on Saturday, Reshiram and Black Kyurem on Sunday. Plan both days if you want both fusions.
- Location backgrounds for Sendai and Mexico City, in-person battles only. Global players can get a Wild Area special background.
