Regular Pokémon only, at level 40 with perfect IVs. Megas and Shadows aren't ranked yet, but a Shadow does about 20% more damage than the regular version.

    How it works

    How the counters are ranked

Every ranking is calculated on this page from the game's own data: each Pokémon's base stats, its moves and the type chart.

    1Damage per hit

The game's damage formula, with 1.6x for super-effective moves, 1.2x when the move matches the attacker's type, and 1.2x in boosting weather.

    2DPS and TDO

Damage per second from cycling the fast and charged move, and total damage before fainting, based on how hard the boss hits back.

    3One rating

DPS counts most, with bulk mixed in, so glass cannons and tanks both land where they should. Each Pokémon's best moveset is shown.

Close calls near the top can swap places on other counter sites, because each weighs damage and bulk a little differently.

    Matt's tips

Win more raids with the team you have

Use the search, then pick your top six

Paste the "top 15" search, sort by CP, and take the six strongest. The game's auto team often picks worse ones.

    Shadows hit harder

A Shadow does 20% more damage and takes a bit more. With enough bulk, a Shadow is almost always the better pick.

Power up a few, not many

Level matters far more than IVs. Six strong counters at level 40 beat twenty at level 25.

    Check the weather

Weather boosts move types by 20%. Switch the weather above to see how your team changes.

    Common questions

    Raid counter FAQ

How do I find raid counters in my Pokémon?

Pick the boss above, copy the "top 15 by name" search and paste it into the search bar on your Pokémon list. The second search finds anything with a super-effective fast move and charged move.

What level are these counters ranked at?

Level 40 with perfect IVs. The order barely changes at other levels, so it's a good guide to which of yours to bring.

Why aren't Megas and Shadows listed?

This version ranks regular Pokémon only. Shadows do about 20% more damage than the regular version, and one Mega in your team boosts everyone's damage.

    What does the asterisk mean?

An asterisk marks a legacy or event move, which you need an Elite TM or a past event to get.

Why is this different from another site?

Each site weighs damage and bulk a little differently, so close counters can swap places. The top counters should line up.
