Shadow Landorus (a trio), Giratina Origin (a duo) and the Kyogre GO Pass all finish on Tuesday 3 November, and Shadow Tornadus, which needs three or four people and isn't ranked as a Flying attacker, is one to skip.

The week in a sentence
Last calls for Shadow Landorus, Giratina Origin and the Kyogre pass on Tuesday, Giratina Altered and Shadow Tornadus from Wednesday, Halloween Part II wrapping up Thursday night, and GO Wild Area in Sendai and Mexico City over the weekend. The new costumes are in my Halloween costume Pokémon post, and shiny Greavard and Mega Sableye’s upgrade are in this news post.
1. Shiny Greavard before Halloween ends, Thursday 8pm
Worth it: yes
Halloween 2026 Part II started Sunday 1 November and ends Thursday 5 November at 8pm. Shiny Greavard debuted with it.
- Shiny Greavard only just debuted, and it’s gone from the wild when Halloween Part II ends.
- One-star raids: costumed Pikachu (hundo 536, 670 weather boosted) and costumed Sinistea (hundo 650, 813 weather boosted). Both are easy solos, good for a last shiny check. Polteageist is number 31 Ghost on Hub (Sucker Punch / Shadow Ball, 14.80 DPS, 268.9 TDO).
- GO Pass: Halloween bonuses: 2x Candy at rank 10, 2x Stardust at rank 20 (3x on Deluxe). Its encounters include Rotom at rank 50 (hundo 870) and Spiritomb at rank 108 (hundo 888, number 82 Ghost on Hub).
- Halloween GO Pass rewards stay claimable until Saturday 7 November at 8pm.
Matt's takeShiny Greavard is the one to chase before 8pm on Thursday.
2. Use your Lucky Trinket before Sunday 11:59pm
Worth it: yes
The Lucky Trinket from the October Deluxe pass expires Sunday 8 November at 11:59pm.
- It makes your next trade with that friend a guaranteed Lucky.
- Friendship Friday (6 November) is a good day to use it: in-person trades only, up to two extra Special Trades, a better Lucky Trade chance, 20% less Stardust per trade and two guaranteed Candy XL from trades (level 31 and up).
3. Hisuian Sliggoo at GO Wild Area, Friday to Sunday
Worth it: yes, if you’ve got a ticket
GO Wild Area 2026 runs in person in Sendai and Mexico City from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November, 10am to 6pm local time. It’s ticket holders only (Sendai ¥4,000 for one day, Mexico City MXN$350 for one day), and gameplay only works inside the event area.
- Hisuian Sliggoo and Hisuian Goodra debut, shiny included. Hisuian Sliggoo is in the wild during both habitat hours (Solid as Steel and Daring as Dragons), and you evolve it into Hisuian Goodra with 100 Goomy Candy.
- Gigantamax Duraludon debuts in six-star Max Battles (Metal Claw / G-Max Depletion, 302 Max Move damage). Hub only shows it with “Include unavailable Pokémon” ticked, so it’ll be the number two Dragon Max attacker once it’s out, behind Eternatus. Hundo 1753 from Max Battles (no weather boost), 1314 from research and 1753 from eggs.
- Dynamax Dialga debuts (Dragon Breath / Max Wyrmwind or Metal Claw / Max Steelspike, 268 Max Move damage). It’s number four Dragon, behind Eternatus, Gigantamax Duraludon and Dynamax Palkia, and number four Steel, behind Crowned Sword Zacian, Gigantamax Melmetal and Gigantamax Copperajah. Hundo 2307 from Max Battles, no weather boost.
- Dynamax Palkia debuts (Dragon Breath / Max Wyrmwind, 272 Max Move damage), number three Dragon behind Eternatus and Gigantamax Duraludon. Hundo 2280 from Max Battles, no weather boost.
- Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta are in five-star raids. Beating them gives you Zacian or Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles), with a hundo of 2188, or 2735 weather boosted in Cloudy. Machamp wearing a modern jacket is in three-star raids too (hundo 1746, 2183 weather boosted).
- Mighty Latias and Latios appear from Incense, plus mighty Lapras in Sendai and mighty Hawlucha in Mexico City.
- Not going? The global version is Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November, free for everyone with an optional US$11.99 ticket. Daily Discoveries pause from Monday 9 to Sunday 15 November for it. More in my Wild Area news post.
Matt's takeThis is a huge one if you've got a ticket. Saturday has the same content as Friday, so pick your best day if you've only got one ticket.
Shadow Landorus, last day Tuesday
Hundo 2050 (2563 weather boosted) · Solo: no, trio
Shadow Landorus (Incarnate Forme) has been in Shadow raids every day since Wednesday 7 October, and it leaves Tuesday 3 November at 10pm. It can be shiny.
- Number six Ground attacker on Hub (Mud Shot / Earth Power, 17.54 DPS, 332.2 TDO), a big step up on the regular Landorus at number 14 (14.78 DPS).
- You’ll need three people, even with maxed attackers (best counter White Kyurem, 579 seconds). That assumes no Purified Gems, so it’s a bit easier in practice. Need a group? My Discord community is friendly and always willing to help.
Matt's takeGet your group sorted early, because it's gone after 10pm on Tuesday.
Giratina Origin, last day Tuesday
Hundo 2105 (2631 weather boosted) · Solo: no, duo
Giratina (Origin Forme) is in five-star raids until Tuesday 3 November at 10pm, and it can be shiny.
- S-Tier and number 18 Ghost on Hub (Shadow Claw / Shadow Force*, 15.05 DPS, 478.5 TDO). That TDO is huge for a Ghost attacker.
- It’s a duo, even with maxed attackers (best counter Eternatus, about 13 faints, 372 seconds).
- Shadow Force* is legacy, so you’ll need an Elite Charged TM if yours doesn’t have it.
Matt's takeIt's better than the Altered Forme that replaces it on Wednesday, so this is the one to finish off.
Finish the October GO Pass by Tuesday 10am
GO Pass: October ends Tuesday 3 November at 10am, and rewards you’ve unlocked expire Thursday 5 November at 10am.
- Rank 100 on the free track is a Kyogre, listed at level 20 (hundo 2351, number nine Water on Hub, Waterfall / Origin Pulse*, 16.04 DPS, 449.7 TDO).
- Origin Pulse* is legacy, so a GO Pass Kyogre that has it is worth keeping.
- Deluxe rank 100 is the Lucky Trinket, which expires Sunday 8 November at 11:59pm.
- Check how close you are to rank 100 right now, then claim everything before Thursday 10am.
Max Monday: Dynamax Machop
Monday 2 November, 6am to 9pm, with more Power Spots that refresh faster and one guaranteed Rare Candy XL for winning in-person Max Battles. Dynamax Machop stays in Max Battles all week, until Sunday 8 November (hundo 730, no weather boost).
- Dynamax Machamp is the number five Fighting Max attacker on Hub (Counter / Max Knuckle, 230 Max Move damage), and it’s easy to get.
- Above it: Gigantamax Machamp, both styles of Dynamax Urshifu and Dynamax Gallade.
- Gigantamax Machamp still does more: 296 against 230.
- The Dark Skies background is coming back soon, and Dynamax Machop is part of it.
Matt's takeIf you'd rather wait for a Machop with the Dark Skies background, that makes sense. Either way, don't spend many Max Particles beyond your free daily ones this week.
GO Pass: November, from Tuesday
Tuesday 3 November 10am to Tuesday 1 December 10am. There’s no daily GO Points cap from Saturday 28 to Sunday 29 November, and rewards can be claimed until Thursday 3 December at 10am.
- Free track: 400 PokéCoins, a Lucky Egg, Rare Candy XL and a Groudon encounter. Groudon is number nine Ground on Hub (Mud Shot / Precipice Blades*, 16.10 DPS, 451.4 TDO), but Primal Groudon is number one Ground (20.98 DPS, 746.0 TDO).
- Deluxe (US$7.99, or US$9.99 with 10 ranks): another 1,000 PokéCoins (1,400 total) and a Super Incubator.
- Got leftover Primal Energy? It’s worth investing if your pass Groudon is a shiny or one you like.
Matt's take400 free coins on the free track, so work through it even if you never buy Deluxe. Deluxe pays you back 1,000 coins, so it's close to free if you'd spend coins anyway.
Giratina Altered and its Raid Hour, Wednesday
Giratina (Altered Forme) is in five-star raids from Wednesday 4 November at 6am to Sunday 8 November at 10pm, and it can be shiny.
- A-Tier, number 38 Ghost on Hub (Shadow Claw / Shadow Force*, 12.78 DPS, 482.7 TDO), a long way behind Origin at number 18.
- Still a duo, and a slow one: about 9 faints and 448 seconds (best counter Eternatus).
- Raid Hour is Wednesday 4 November, 6pm to 7pm, with one Rare Candy XL for completing in-person raids. It’s the easiest hour of the week to find a duo partner.
Matt's takeMostly for shiny hunters or anyone missing the Altered Forme. Do one for the Rare Candy XL, more only if you're chasing the shiny.
Shadow Tornadus, from Wednesday
Shadow Tornadus (Incarnate Forme) is in Shadow raids every day from Wednesday 4 November at 6am to Sunday 8 November at 10pm.
- Hub doesn’t even rank it as a Flying attacker (Air Slash / Grass Knot, 16.96 DPS, 269.7 TDO).
- You’ll want four people, or three if your attackers are maxed (best counter Mega Manectric, 723 seconds). That assumes no Purified Gems, so gems will help.
Matt's takeSkip it unless you collect Shadow legendaries.
Mega Sableye, all week
Mega Sableye stays in Mega raids until Sunday 8 November at 10pm, and it can be shiny. Super Max and Night Shade+ unlocked on Sunday, but Hub still shows it without Night Shade+.
- Until Hub updates, it’s D-Tier Dark and Ghost (Shadow Claw / Foul Play, 9.21 DPS, 174.2 TDO).
- It still needs a friend: a duo, just (best counter Mega Gardevoir, about 5 faints, 343 seconds).
Matt's takeI'd hold your Mega Energy until we see the new numbers.
Teddiursa wearing a witch hat Spotlight Hour, Thursday
Thursday 5 November, 6pm to 7pm, with 2x Evolution XP, and it can be shiny. A Lucky Egg plus 2x Evolution XP is the play if you’re levelling up. Ursaluna’s TDO is great (Scratch / High Horsepower*, 14.65 DPS, 441.0 TDO), but number 33 Normal and number 62 Ground on Hub isn’t a top pick, so this one is mostly for costume and shiny collectors.
Also this week
- Claim your October GO Pass rewards by Thursday 5 November at 10am, or Kyogre and everything else you unlocked disappears.
- Halloween GO Pass rewards (Rotom, Spiritomb and the Rare Candy you unlocked) expire Saturday 7 November at 8pm.
- Sunday 8 November: Giratina Altered, Shadow Tornadus and Mega Sableye leave at 10pm, Dynamax Machop leaves Max Battles, and Lucky Trinkets expire at 11:59pm.
- Scenic Sunday (8 November): more wild spawns, more spawns on Routes and reduced buddy candy distance on Routes. A good day to walk a Route and clean up candy before next week.
- Twilight Trails season continues until Tuesday 1 December.
- adidas x Pokémon Timed Research is available at participating stores until Friday 15 January.
What you can skip
- Shadow Tornadus raids, Wednesday to Sunday. Hub doesn’t even rank it as a Flying attacker, and you need three or four people for a Pokémon you won’t use.
- Giratina Altered and its Raid Hour on Wednesday. Number 38 Ghost, a long way behind Origin. Only worth it for the shiny or the Rare Candy XL.
- Dynamax Machop, if you already have a Gigantamax Machamp. 230 Max Move damage against Gigantamax Machamp’s 296, and the Dark Skies background is coming back soon, so save your Max Particles.
