When it ran
16 to 21 September 2025.
What was featured
- Indeedee debuted with its shiny available from day one. It has two forms and was only in 5km eggs, with a 1 in 4 chance of hatching one and a half hatch distance bonus available.
- Giovanni switched from Shadow Giratina to Shadow Incarnate Forme Tornadus, with a Super Rocket Radar from free timed research.
- Shadow Groudon was in raids on 20 and 21 September, and could be shiny. See my Groudon raid guide for counters.
- A Charged TM could remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon. See my Frustration guide.
- Team GO Rocket Grunts used Shadow Qwilfish, Swablu, Baltoy and Deino.
It was unusual to get a Taken Over event this soon after the last one in August. I think it was to help people finish the level 44 requirements before the level cap went up. For what happened next, see my level 80 guide.
