4 to 8 November
Altered Forme Giratina
- Five-star raids, 4 to 8 November. Raid Hour Wednesday 4 November, 6pm to 7pm.
- B-Tier Ghost attacker with Dragon Breath / Shadow Force*.
- Solo: no, it’s a duo. Best counter is Eternatus, with about 9 faints.
- Origin Forme is the better raid attacker, so Altered is mostly for the dex and the shiny. One Raid Hour, so it’s a light priority.
Shadow Tornadus (Incarnate Forme) debut
- First time ever in Shadow Raids, every day from 4 to 8 November.
- It steps aside for Into the Wild and Wild Area week (9 to 15 November), then returns every day from 16 November to 1 December.
- Solo: no, it’s a group of four, or three if your attackers are maxed. Best counter is White Kyurem. This is the hardest raid of the month.
- It isn’t ranked by PokemonGO Hub as a Flying attacker, so raid it for the collection. It’s back for two more weeks later, so there’s no rush.
Spotlight Hour: Thursday 5 November, 6pm to 7pm
- Teddiursa wearing a witch hat, with 2x Evolution XP.
- It’s a costume form, so it can’t evolve.
- A good XP hour if you have Lucky Eggs and evolves saved.
9 to 15 November: Into the Wild and Wild Area Global
- The content update doesn’t list any of its own raid bosses for this week.
- Into the Wild and Wild Area bring their own raids, Max Battles and GO Pass.
- Daily Discoveries are paused this week.
16 to 22 November
Darkrai and Cresselia: 16 to 24 November
- Raid Hour Wednesday 18 November, 6pm to 7pm, for both bosses.
- Darkrai is a top 10 Dark attacker (A-Tier, Snarl / Foul Play), and the one to farm. Solo: no, it’s a duo. Best counter is Mega Mewtwo X.
- Cresselia is not a raid attacker, so raid it for the dex or shiny only. Solo: no, duo to trio, and it can tip into a trio on the Moonblast moveset at level 40. Best counter is Mega Houndoom.
Mega Banette: 16 to 24 November
- Top 6 Ghost attacker as a Mega (S-Tier, Shadow Claw / Shadow Ball), a huge jump over regular Banette.
- Solo: yes, easy. Best counter is Mega Houndoom, so it’s cheap Mega Energy.
- Bring revives: it takes about 8 faints even when you win.
Mystery Max Battle: 16 to 23 November
- A mystery Dynamax Pokémon that hasn’t been named yet, running alongside Dynamax Trails.
- Save some Max Particles until it’s revealed. Matt will cover it the moment Scopely announces it.
Community Day: Saturday 21 November
The featured Pokémon hasn’t been announced yet.
23 November to 1 December
Dynamax Espurr: 23 to 29 November
- Meowstic isn’t on PokemonGO Hub’s Dynamax list yet, so there’s no Max Move damage benchmark.
- For now it’s a collection grab. Matt will update once Hub benchmarks it.
All four Deoxys forms: 25 November to 1 December
- Raid Hour Wednesday 25 November, 6pm to 7pm, all four forms.
- Normal Forme: the best attacker of the four (A-Tier Psychic). Soloable if your team is maxed, otherwise grab a friend.
- Attack Forme: an easy solo, about two minutes with Mega Houndoom.
- Speed Forme: B-Tier Psychic, a duo.
- Defense Forme: the hardest, a trio, so bring two friends.
- Mega Houndoom is the best counter for three of the forms, so power one up before 25 November.
Mega Metagross: 25 November to 1 December
- The best Mega of the month: #5 Steel attacker (S-Tier, Fury Cutter / Meteor Mash*) with massive TDO, behind only Crowned Sword Zacian, Crowned Shield Zamazenta, Dusk Mane Necrozma and Mega Lucario. It’s also a B-Tier Psychic attacker.
- Meteor Mash* is a legacy move, so keep an Elite Charged TM ready.
- Solo: no, it’s a duo. Best counter is Mega Delphox.
Spotlight Hour: Thursday 26 November, 6pm to 7pm
Noibat, with 2x Catch Candy. Good Candy for Noivern.
Super Mega Raid Day: Saturday 28 November
Details haven’t been announced yet. Clefable appears in the Twilight Trails artwork, which could be a hint at Mega Clefable, but it isn’t confirmed, so treat it as a guess for now.
Dynamax Cryogonal: 30 November to 6 December
- #5 Ice Max attacker (Frost Breath / Max Hailstorm, 201 Max Move damage), behind Dynamax Weavile, Dynamax Glaceon, Gigantamax Lapras and Dynamax Articuno.
- A solid Ice option that doesn’t need evolving, and its high Defence and HP for its tier mean it can pull double duty as a tank.
What you can’t skip
- Mega Metagross, 25 November to 1 December. Top 5 Steel attacker with huge TDO. Keep an Elite Charged TM ready for Meteor Mash*.
- Darkrai Raid Hour, Wednesday 18 November at 6pm. Top 10 Dark attacker, and a duo, so line up a friend.
- Witch hat Teddiursa Spotlight Hour, Thursday 5 November at 6pm. The costume only shows up for a limited time, and 2x Evolution XP means it’s time to save your evolves and pop a Lucky Egg.
What you can skip
- Cresselia: not a raid attacker, do it for the shiny or the dex only.
- Shadow Tornadus for raid teams: not ranked as an attacker, it’s the hardest raid of the month, and it runs until 1 December, so there’s no rush.
Matt's take: the month in a sentence is Shadow Tornadus to start, Darkrai in the middle, Deoxys and Mega Metagross to finish, and the mystery Max Battle is the one to watch.
