Into the Wild Event Guide: Dynamax Regidrago, Crowned Zacian and the Silver Bottle Cap

Key dates

• Main event: Monday 9 November 10am to Friday 13 November 8pm local time.
• Bonuses and the GO Pass: run to Sunday 15 November 6pm. Claim pass rewards by Tuesday 17 November 11:59pm.
• Remote Raid limit is 30 Monday to Friday, then no limit on GO Wild Area weekend.
• No Daily Discoveries from 9 to 15 November, so no Max Monday or Raid Hour Wednesday this week.
• New Special Background: a chance on catches from five-star raids and five-star Max Battles.

Five-star raids all week: Crowned Zacian and Zamazenta

Both are in five-star raids all week and both can be shiny.

• Crowned Sword Zacian (Raid Hour Monday 6pm to 7pm): the best Steel attacker in the game, in raids and Max Battles. Metal Claw / Behemoth Blade, 23.9 DPS in raids and 341 Max Move damage. It’s a duo if maxed and a trio at level 40, so bring two or three mates or use the higher remote limit.
• Crowned Shield Zamazenta (Raid Hour Tuesday 6pm to 7pm): the number two Steel attacker and the bulkier of the pair, with the higher TDO (776 vs 661). It’s only a duo, so it’s the easier of the two. 23.3 DPS in raids and 260 Max Move damage in Max Battles.
• Both already run Metal Claw, so no TM needed.
• Zacian vs Zamazenta: Zacian is quite tanky in itself (240 Defence, 192 HP), hits harder in raids, and hits much harder in Max Battles (341 vs 260).

Matt's take: if you're only investing in one, make it Crowned Sword Zacian.

Three-star raids all week

Druddigon and Orthworm are both easy solos and both can be shiny. Good for shiny checks and the Global Challenge, but not worth building.

One and two-star Max Battles all week

• Ralts (one-star): evolve for Gardevoir, the #1 Fairy Max attacker at 248 Max Move damage, or Gallade.
• Machop (two-star): evolve for Dynamax Machamp at 245 Max Move damage, though Gigantamax Machamp still tops Fighting at 314.

Matt's take: Ralts is the farm of the week.

Day by day

• Wednesday 11 November: Registeel in five-star Max Battles, Max Battle Hour 6pm to 7pm. Only 155 Max Move damage, so it’s not an attacker, but its 285 Defence and 190 HP make it a tank in the same range as Gigantamax Snorlax and Crowned Zamazenta. Metal Claw is featured, which just saves you a Fast TM.
• Thursday 12 November: Dynamax Regidrago debut in five-star Max Battles, Max Battle Hour 6pm to 7pm, and it can be shiny. Every one caught this event knows Dragon Breath*, which makes it a top 20 Dragon raid attacker. As a Dynamax it’s projected around 213 Max Move damage, roughly #8 Dragon and mid-pack, about 70 to 75 behind the projections for Dynamax Dialga and Palkia. It’s not a natural tank either: huge 400 HP, but only 101 Defence.
• Friday 13 November: Latias and Latios in five-star Max Battles, Max Battle Hour 6pm to 7pm, both can be shiny. Latios is the #2 Dragon Max attacker at 278 Max Move damage, Latias is #6 at 239. Their featured moves, Luster Purge* and Mist Ball*, are collector picks, not raid upgrades.
• Friday 8pm: the main event ends, along with featured attacks. This is the last shot at Dragon Breath* Regidrago.

Matt's take: if you invest in one of the pair, make it Latios. Matt will do a follow-up on Regidrago once PokemonGO Hub benchmarks it.

Meltan, Gimmighoul and the Global Challenge

• Meltan Mystery Box: shorter cooldown and a shiny Meltan chance, to Sunday 15 November 6pm.
• Gimmighoul Coin Bags: a shiny Gimmighoul chance. If you’ve been sitting on a Coin Bag, save it for this week.
• Global Challenge: complete raids and Max Battles worldwide to strengthen the Adventure Effects of Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash and fill Max Battle energy faster.

GO Pass: Dynamax Meltan and the Silver Bottle Cap

• Dynamax Meltan debuts in the free pass, can be shiny, with extra encounters in Deluxe. As a Dynamax Melmetal it’s projected at about 237 Max Move damage, roughly #6 Steel, with bulk close to Registeel.
• Free pass: event encounters, a GO Wild Area 2026 Tee (Purple), and half hatch distance at rank 25.
• Deluxe (US$14.99, or US$19.99 with +10 ranks): the Silver Bottle Cap, extra Dynamax Meltan encounters, extra XP and Candy per raid and Max Battle, and Max Moves at 3/4 Max Particles.
• Daily GO Point cap Monday to Friday, no cap on the weekend.

The Silver Bottle Cap maxes one stat of your choice (Attack, Defence or HP). The Pokémon must be Good Buddy or higher, can’t be a Shadow, and can’t go to HOME once Hyper Trained. The cap expires Sunday 22 November 11:59pm even if unused.

Matt's take: IVs barely matter. Going from floor raid IVs to a hundo is only about 2% more Attack, while levelling a raid catch from 20 to 40 is 32% more. The cap is really for ticking off the 100% in your Pokédex on things you only get one or two of, like a mythical. Where it is worth it: if capping your favourite gets you to actually invest in it and level it up. Skip Deluxe unless you want it, and if you do, start building friendship now and make sure your pick isn't a Shadow.

GO Wild Area: Global weekend

Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November, 10am to 6pm both days: Zekrom and White Kyurem raids plus Dynamax Dialga on Saturday, Reshiram and Black Kyurem raids plus Dynamax Palkia on Sunday, and Gigantamax Duraludon in six-star Max Battles both days. Dynamax Dialga can also run Max Steelspike, projected at about 285, which would make it #2 Steel behind Crowned Sword Zacian.

What you can skip

• Registeel as an attacker. Build it as a tank instead.
• Latias over Latios, if you’re short on passes or particles.
• The Deluxe pass, unless you want the Silver Bottle Cap. IVs barely change damage, levelling does.
• Druddigon and Orthworm beyond shiny checks.
