Eevee Nickname Tricks: Every Name to Choose Your Eeveelution in Pokémon GO

A lot of you saw my video on how to get Sylveon and didn’t know about the Eevee name trick, or wanted the names for every other evolution. Here’s the full list.

Every Eevee nickname

Nickname your Eevee to one of these before you evolve it:

Name	Evolves into
Rainer	Vaporeon
Sparky	Jolteon
Pyro	Flareon
Sakura	Espeon
Tamao	Umbreon
Linnea	Leafeon
Rea	Glaceon
Kira	Sylveon

Check the evolve button after renaming. It should show the silhouette of the Eeveelution you picked. If it doesn’t, close the Pokémon’s page and open it again.

It only works once per evolution

Each name trick works one time. After you’ve used Kira for a Sylveon, for example, renaming another Eevee to Kira won’t work again.

From then on you’ll need each Eeveelution’s normal evolution method. That matters if a task asks you to evolve a specific Eeveelution later, like some of the level-up tasks, so think about saving a name if you haven’t used it yet.

Matt's takeYou only get one shot at each name, so be warned if you're working towards level 41. Use each name on an Eevee you actually want to keep, like a hundo or a shiny.
