Applin evolves into Dipplin with 200 Applin Candy and 20 Syrupy Apples, then Dipplin evolves into Hydrapple with 400 Candy after catching 7 Dragon types with it as your buddy. Smoliv and Pumpkaboo were also shiny boosted.
Dipplin and Hydrapple arrived in Harvest Festival 2025, and they take a lot of Candy to get.

How to get Dipplin and Hydrapple
- Applin to Dipplin: 200 Applin Candy and 20 Syrupy Apples, a new type of apple.
- Dipplin to Hydrapple: 400 Candy, and catch 7 Dragon type Pokémon while Dipplin is your buddy.
That’s 600 Candy to get from Applin to Hydrapple.
Applin spawns from Mossy Lures like normal, and ticket holders got double Lure duration. The best way to get lots of Applin Candy is Pinap or Silver Pinap Berries, which give double Candy.
Shiny boosts
Smoliv and Pumpkaboo were shiny boosted, and Pumpkaboo has an awesome shiny.
