Mega Delphox, Mega Greninja or Mega Chesnaught: Which Kalos Starter Mega Is Best?

Mega Greninja is the 2nd best Water attacker, and Mega Chesnaught tops the Grass rankings but sits well down the overall Mega list, so it's the one to pick only if it's your favourite.

How they rank
Here’s where each stands today on Pokémon GO Hub, with plus moves at Super Max Mega Level:
- Mega Delphox is the number 1 Fire attacker with Fire Spin and Mystical Fire+. It’s also 4th on Pokémon GO Hub’s list of the best Megas, ahead of Mega Charizard Y.
- Mega Greninja is the 2nd best Water attacker with Water Shuriken and Surf+, and 11th on the Mega list.
- Mega Chesnaught tops the Grass rankings with Vine Whip and Seed Bomb+, but it’s 21st on the Mega list. It’s very bulky, which helps its Grass ranking more than its raw damage.
When I first covered them, I compared their damage on DialgaDex using Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon and Frenzy Plant, and Delphox came out well ahead there too.
Matt's takeAll three are great, but unless Chesnaught is your favourite Pokémon, Delphox and Greninja are your better choices. Delphox is the best overall by a lot.
