Pokémon GO March 2025 Raids: Kanto Birds, Tapu Koko, Heatran and "Mega March"
March 2025 had Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres from 4 to 13 March with Mega Lucario, Tapu Koko from 13 to 22 March with Mega Swampert, and Heatran from 22 March with Mega Pinsir. The Megas were the more exciting raids all month, so I called it Mega March.
Here are all the Pokémon that came to raids in March 2025, and which ones I thought were worth catching.
4 to 13 March: Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres
The Kanto birds were in 5-star raids. They have high nostalgia value but low utility, because they all rank quite low for raids. Moltres was the best of the three.
The Mega at the same time was Mega Lucario, the more exciting option: it was the number 1 Fighting attacker in the game. Make sure yours knows Force Palm*, as my Mega Lucario guide explains.
13 to 22 March: Tapu Koko
Last time Tapu Koko was around people were excited, but I don’t get the hype. The Mega at the same time, Mega Swampert, was the better raid: the 2nd best Water attacker at the time, second only to Primal Kyogre.
From 22 March: Heatran
Heatran is the most boring design of the month, but it’s a decent Fire attacker worth catching. The Mega alongside it was Mega Pinsir, the 2nd best Bug attacker at the time.
Matt's takeThroughout March the Megas were more interesting than the 5-star raids. Can we call it Mega March?
