GO Fest Global 2025 Recap: Habitats, Crowned Zacian and Zamazenta, and My Shiny Count

Daily spawns

Saturday 28 June boosted Chansey, Skarmory, Larvitar, Shieldon, Shelmet, Mandibuzz, Goomy and Oranguru.

Sunday 29 June boosted Farfetch’d, Cubone, Ralts, Karrablast, Pawniard, Deino, Passimian, Jangmo-o and Unown.

The four habitats

• Volcano: Houndoom, Numel, Duskull, Gothita, Golett, Flabébé, Skrelp and Carbink, including its new shiny. Incense attracted Torkoal.
• Dojo: Machop, Electabuzz, Teddiursa, Scraggy, Mienfoo, Chespin, Flabébé, Pancham, Dedenne and Crabrawler. Incense attracted Skiddo.
• Tundra: Sandshrew, Swinub, Spheal, Piplup, Snover, Munna, Elgyem, Flabébé, Bergmite and Frigibax, including its new shiny. Incense attracted Pachirisu.
• Fae Swamp: Clefairy, Tentacool, Togetic, Mawile, Gulpin, Venipede, Flabébé, Popplio, Mareanie and Morelull. Incense attracted Klefki.

Raids

Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta were in 5-star raids. Beating them gave you a regular Zacian or Zamazenta to catch, which you could then power up and turn into its Crowned form. For counters, hundos and which one to build, see my Crowned Zacian and Zamazenta guide.

How my weekend went

I walked over 50km, and the community was out in full force, gifting each other to celebrate the game.

• 39 shinies, including 8 Zamazenta and 2 Zacian.
• 10 shiny legendaries from 138 raids. It felt like the shiny odds were far lower than normal, and some people did 80 raids without a single shiny.
• I maxed out four Crowned Sword Zacian and four Crowned Shield Zamazenta, with a mix of backgrounds and shinies.

A few weeks earlier, I went to GO Fest in Osaka, where the highlights were a maxed hundo Crowned Sword Zacian with the special background, a shiny Zacian with the background, a 98% lucky Armoured Mewtwo and 47 shinies. Meeting people from all over the world who came to say hello was the best part.
