A tip for catching Rookidee
At the time, Rookidee had just been added to the game, and it didn’t spawn in the wild. You could mainly get it from Eggs and Magnetic Lure Modules. Ralts Community Day helped with both:
- With 1/4 hatch distance, every 500m gave you a chance at a Rookidee from 2km Eggs.
- A Magnetic Lure placed between 2pm and 5pm lasted 3 hours instead of 30 minutes. It spawned Ralts about half the time, plus the usual Magnetic Lure Pokémon, including Rookidee.
Matt's tipRalts Community Day was the easiest way to catch lots of Rookidee without buying extra Egg Incubators.
How my Community Day went
I walked 4.8km and caught 211 Ralts, and 14 were shiny (about 6.6%, above the usual 4%). They had decent IVs too, and I caught a shiny Articuno along the way.
