Pokémon GO May 2025 Raids: Tapu Fini, the Lake Trio, Tapu Bulu and Mega Gyarados

Here are all the Pokémon that came to raids in May 2025, and my advice at the time on what to focus on catching.

1 to 12 May: Tapu Fini and Mega Houndoom

Tapu Fini knew Nature’s Madness, and in my view its shiny is the best looking of all the Tapus. In 4-star raids, Mega Houndoom was a top Dark attacker and a decent Fire attacker as a backup.

12 to 25 May: the lake trio and Mega Gyarados

A mix of Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf depending on where you were:

• Uxie in the Asia-Pacific region
• Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India
• Azelf in the Americas and Greenland

These regionals were exciting to get through remote raids. In 4-star raids was Mega Gyarados, which people had been waiting a while for. It wasn’t the best Water attacker, but it has such a great design and it’s one of the original 151.

25 May to 3 June: Tapu Bulu and Mega Altaria

Tapu Bulu also has a great shiny and is an S tier Fairy attacker with Nature’s Madness. Mega Altaria isn’t a great raid attacker compared to other Megas, but its shiny is pretty top tier.
